I guess I always wanted to write a musical, but didn't give it a shot until my 50's.  A bizarre small-town story had blown up around the ownership of a lost dog.  Local politicians and a talk radio personality had gotten involved, and social media fanned the flames.  This felt like a possible plot to me, and with some tweaking and a grafted-on happy ending, Danny Come Home was born.  It received a staged reading at the Cambria Theater for the Arts in 2017, and a concert performance in San Luis Obispo in 2018.  Unfortunately, all the recordings sound like they were made from an iPhone in mom's purse.  So I've only included a few choice examples.
